A design build contract to design and construct the first Ethanol E85 gas station in Puerto Rico inside the campus of the VA Caribbean Medical Center, San Juan PR. San Diego Project Management, PSC was the Engineer Designer of Record and Prime Contractor.  

The project required to remove existing gasoline underground storage systems and to replace it with an above ground 20,000 gallon gas station that is capable to store E85 fuel for the VA Administration Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) fleet in Puerto Rico.

SDPM was responsible for the environmental documentation, preparation of design documents and the construction of the project inside a major hospital. SDPM designed for this project a highway pavement, a fuel spill containment systems, alarm systems and coordination for fire protection
