Mr. Omar Santiago Ortega
Mr. Omar Santiago Ortega has an associate degree on Civil Engineering for University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus, earned on 2001.
He has a vast experience in positions like: Engineering Technician, Q.C. Engineering Technician/Burial Crypt Coordinator, Laboratory, Field and Concrete Technician as an Engineering Technician since 2002 he had the opportunity to work on different multimillion dollar job sites. Most important of them, Portugués Dam at Ponce Puerto Rico as Laboratory, Field, Aggregate, Concrete and Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Technician at the QC Lab (Geo Cim) and QA Lab (SDPM-PSC, Army Corps of Engineers)
With USACE he worked at C-44 Reservoir near Indian Town Florida as Engineering Technician at the Quality Assurance Laboratory.
As Laboratory, Field and Concrete Technician with JLI-PIM Engineering Laboratory worked in the new apron and connector for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) area at the Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla Puerto Rico.
His training includes: Concrete Strength Testing, Soils Testing, Roller Compacted Concrete Testing (RCC). Finalizing with a personal training with U.S.A.C.E. mix designer, James K. Hinds PE, RCC and Concrete Material Specialist and performed all testing associated with the design and evaluation of roller compacted concrete (RCC), conventional structural and mass concrete, bedding mortar, and grout used in conjunction with grout enriched RCC (GERCC).
On his portfolio he counts with the following certifications and licenses: OSHA 30 Hour- Construction, ACI Aggregate Testing Technician, Level 1, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician, Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge handling (CPN).
